Display Model Only I don't know if this is my favourite record to come out after 2000. I just know it's the record that's most consistently captured my mood, and therefore the record I've listened the most often.

Sam Wrangle Monotone vox combined with trance inducing lead guitar. Masters of atmosphere, Nite Fields will not disappoint fans of 80s alternative music, especially the darker kind. Favorite track: Depersonalised.

Fastnbulbous ...build a beautifully gauzy, dreamy sound that draws on 4AD’s proto-shoegaze (Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil), the delicate guitar picking of Felt and Vini Reilly, melodic gifts of The Monochrome Set and psych pop drones of Spacemen 3. gorgeous sonics and atmosphere on this record, as should be the case on any slowdive album. this album successfully modernizes their sound without compromising on the dreamy textures and beautiful songs that made slowdive so good in the first place. does falter a little on the back half but not much, and the best tracks hold up to the band's classic songs imo. really a late-career masterpiece tbh fall
